Day Four: Renewable Energy Used in Arizona
Lesson Objective: By the end of this lesson students will identify at least one renewable energy resource used in Arizona and have created a visual about how the resource is used in Arizona.
On day four of this unit the teacher will review the four different renewable resources the class as learned about the days prior. The teacher then ask the class a question. “What form of renewable energy do you think would be a possibility and useful in Arizona?” Before students respond the teacher will ask them to get into groups of 5. The students can then discuss their answers and reasoning. They will then as a group create a visual and a presentation about why their form of renewable energy would be effective in Arizona. Students will have access to further research their choice either on a computer or using the resources used during the week. Students will also have access to multiple means of expression to present their visual to the class. They will share with the class on the next day.
